ELL STEP Observable Language Behaviours

Category:  PowerSchool page customizations and database extensions.  This customization provides the interface for over 900 distinct database fields measuring a student's progress as an English Language Learner.  Keys:

• Color coding for visual indicators.
• Field locking based on current values.

 

 

Home Schooling Tracking

Category:  PowerSchool page customizations and database extensions.  Example of simple contained interface for a specific purpose.  Students who home school still need to be in PowerSchool but have other data requirements such as:

1. Meetings to monitor progress and curriculum
2. Oversight from principal and superintendent
3. Appeals
4. etc

 

 

FTE Calculations and Exports

Category:  PS page customization and data calculations.  The FTE (Full Time Equivalency) customization:

1. Gathers a set of students based on a specific time frame of enrollment and for these students
2. Apply different sets of rules and calculations to attendance, credits (only high school) and demographic data
3. Use demographic and calculations of attendance (based on custom fields for the student, sections, school) to calculate the student's FTE

Category: PS page customizations - easy access reporting.  Customizations such as this allow for users from any student page to access extended, calculated, combined information in a single area.  Information can be displayed in the following ways:

1. Existence - certain icons, like alerts can appear only if certain criteria are met
2. Mouse over - simply moving the mouse over the icon can give information
3. Click to expose targeting reporting

 

 

 

 

HRM in PS

Human Resource Management inside PowerSchool system as customized module. Based on the existed staff data in PS, and provide custom pages to enter HRM detailed data including Leave information. The customized module includes visual analysis pages like below screenshot.
